I started this company as a testament to what I love...which is the origin of the name.

Hint: It's an acronym. 

I love nesting. I am obsessed with problem solving and I love improving the spaces I inhabit. I also love helping people get more out of their spaces, functionally and emotionally. I love seeing the pride people have when they feel good about the places they inhabit. What I love aesthetically will change with time, but the principals of making functional spaces that people can love and use to live fulfilled lives will always be resonate with me.

As with all acronyms, TTWIL can stand for a few other things as well. "To the woman I love" stood out to me in particular. Starting a company to share my love of design, and helping people love their surroundings more, was in a sense acknowledging and loving the best version of myself. Design may not seem like a very noble pursuit, but I believe you can greatly impact peoples lives for the better by improving their surroundings. The difference is whether or not you are honoring that individual in the space or not. Does the space function well for their lives and needs? Is it filled with the colors, textures and objects that bring them joy?

The name also makes me think of my mother, she is a tireless giver, but she always finds the extra effort to prioritize having a nice home inside and out. I owe so much of my skills and passion to her. So I see this company as a way to honor all she has given me. And she is by far the woman I love and respect most in this world. I am always looking for ways to give back to her, to bring her happiness and joy. One of my most recent projects, which greatly inspired me to start this company, was rebuilding and refreshing her gardens and home in the Hudson Valley.
